The journey began with a simple mission: to brew damn good beer! The brainchild of the Viray 3 – Marco, Joey, and Mica. Often referred to as the “divine trinity”, within the craft community. No bullsh*t, no fancy marketing campaign - just straight forward, great craft beer. Made by beer drinkers, for beer drinkers!
Our brewer’s tale flourished in San Diego, when one of the Viray brothers, Joey, went on a beer-treat. This quest for wisdom ignited his penchant for beer making- a skill since perfected, dare we say revolutionized. Coming forth with a drink for the Filipino palate, an enlightened Joey brought his trade back home to Manila.
Joe’s first batch of brews was produced at home and in an effort to bring their golden elixir to the public, the first few sales took place at their mom’s food truck, circa 2013. Back then, if you were one of the lucky ones, you were able to enjoy fantastic food truck fare paired with one of their specialty brews – the experience relayed was transcendental!
Not long after, word got out and people started bringing friends, who brought their friends, and what began was reminiscent of the running of the bulls in Pamplona. With a growing cult following, the House of Joe taproom was built by the hands of Joe himself to showcase his liquid art.
Rising to the demand of the local beer drinking community, the guys behind the brew have thus concluded the search for the finest Filipino craft beer. The hunt is over. All hail Joe!
